I dont know where the time is going. I have had a busy month. Eldest Daughter left home approx 4 weeks ago and has moved into her own LITTLE studio appartment. I have got to say its lovely with all the appliances brand new but it is small but cozy. I think she has settled in ok but its amazing as she has been home this weekend and suddenly she is closing doors and curtains, turning lights off and best of all not just putting the tumble dryer on for a couple of tops. WOW at last she understands that the electricity and gas doesnt come free.
Since she has gone and taken all her stuff, although she still has a few books to take, I have been having a good clearout all through the house. I started in the conservatory where all my cross stitch and cardmaking stuff is and sorted through charts that I have pulled out of magazines. Gosh the wheelie bin was full when I had done. I have still to go through my cardmaking stuff as not really into that now so other than keeping stuff for scrapbooking which I really want to do, it has got to go. I have bought some nice wicker drawers to put my everyday stitching stuff in my living room but the rest of the stash has gone in the drawers in my new spare room. I have put Emma's old single bed in the spare room and she has ended up with a lovely pine 4ft bed.
Went to the Harrogate knitting and stitching show with some friends and met up with Michelle whose husband had surprised her that morning and drove her all the way to Harrogate to meet up with us. He rang me on the Friday to check he had got the right weekend so I just had to send some texts and emails to her gloating that I was going to the show and she wasnt, so you can imagine giddiness once he had told her. We had a wonderful day spending and chatting, just need to find some more hours in the day to stitch the charts that we bought. Unfortunately Im unable to upload a piccy of my new stash at the moment but I got a lovely JBW pillow with a chart called The Shoe Shopper, 3 lots of pins for pinkeeps, hand dyed/cloudy aida. CC Forest snowfall, CC Gingerbread cottage and LHN Winter Greens.
Off to France on Wednesday to visit my friend again. Hoping the wind and rain settles a bit here otherwise I am in for a bumpy flight. I am staying until Sunday but not back to work until Tuesday - bliss.
Best sort out what stitching I am taking as I will have no kids, dogs, hubby, housework or work to interupt my stitching time.
See you when I get back.
